Gossip Girl, Grammy’s and more

Posted by Poisoned Apathy on Wednesday, February 16, 2011

Hello all!!

Well, the Gossip Girl episode featuring Florence + the Machine and their wonderful single Cosmic Love finally aired. You watch it below.

Also, unfortunately, Florence didn’t get any of the Grammy awards she was nominated for, Best Breakthrough Artist, which went to jazz singer Esperanza Spalding, nor Best Soundtrack for Twilight.
However, she still made an appearance, performing an Aretha Frankling medley, along with Yolanda Adams, Christina Aguilera,Jeniffer Hudson and Martina McBride. We’re sorry we can’t show you the clip, but Grammy’s have retired all videos from Youtube.

As a side note, from Florence Welch Fan, we’d like to congratulate the amazing Arcade Fire on their winning of Best Album of the Year at the Grammy’s. If you’re a Flo fan, you’d probably know Flo herself is a massive fan of the band, as are we. She even picked the band’s debut album, Funeral, as her favourite of the last decade.

Back on track with Flo news, Florence + the Machine have just been confirmed to play this year’s Bonnaroo Festival.
The event will take place in Manchester, Tennesse (Not England LOL), next June 9-12th.
Other artists performing will be Arcade Fire, Eminem, The Black Keys, The Strokes and many more. Check out their WEBSITE for more details. And, if you take a humble advice, go if you’re able to, cause the line up is to die for. 😀
